This interactive music and lecture program focuses on how the different blues styles ranging from country blues, classic blues, contemporary Chicago blues, and school children’s blues styles mirror and tell African American history and culture. Join Katherine Davis and Erwin Helfer as they demonstrate the universality of the language and themes of the blues as well as the commonalities that all of us share.
