The Sarus crane of Southeast Asia is the world’s tallest flying bird. George Archibald, co-founder of the International Crane Foundation just came back from Thailand. There, the ICF has worked with colleagues on preserving this magnificent bird since 1983. He’ll update us on the effort. Archibald is author of the book My Life With Cranes. He’s in Chicago to deliver the keynote address at the Chicago Audubon Conference “Birding America XII.”
