Former Detroit Planner To Lead Chicago’s Planning Department

Mayor Lori Lightfoot recently announced that Maurice Cox will lead the city’s Planning and Development Department starting Sept. 15. Outgoing commissioner Eleanor Gorski will stay with the department as first deputy.

Cox moves into his new post after serving as director of planning for the city of Detroit.
