Global Activism: Anti-trafficking NGO Selah Freedom Comes To Chicago

Selah Freedom, a Sarasota-based non-profit that fights sex trafficking in the United States is launching an outpost in Chicago.

Selah is a Hebrew word meaning “to pause, rest, and reflect," and the group's president and CEO, Elizabeth Fisher, says she wants to “give survivors the chance to do just that.” 

For our Global Activism segment, we’ll ask the former Chicago radio advertising professional about how she moved to Florida “for the weather”, but instead became a champion to spread awareness and lobby local governments to provide shelter, rehabilitation and reduce incarceration for U.S. sexual trafficking victims.
