For our Global Activism segment, we speak with leaders from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) chapter.

Kathryn Spink is the chair of the Premedical Advisory Committee at IIT and leads and mentors students for MEDLIFE at IIT. Evelyn Thomas is an undergraduate student in biochemistry at IIT and is president of MEDLIFE at IIT.

They join us to talk about how going abroad to teach people simple tasks, like washing hands and brushing their teeth, revolutionizes the quality of life in their communities.
