The play, by renowned Indian director Roysten Abel, is a follow up to his first play -- The Manganiyar Seduction -- about the music made by the Manganiyar, Muslim musicians from Sindh, Pakistan and Rajasthan, India.
The Manganiyar Classroom centers on the talents and experiences of Manganiyar children, providing commentary on how India’s public education system is threatening this musical tradition.
