Hundreds Of Asylum-Seekers Camping Out Near U.S. Border Crossing

Hundreds of asylum-seekers shut down a high-traffic international border crossing last week to protest squalid and inhumane living conditions at the southern border.

WBEZ’s Maria Zamudio is on assignment at the Gateway International Bridge that connects Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas. She joins Reset for an update on the difficulties that asylum-seekers are facing, including inadequate water and health care access.
