Three weeks ago, a tornado ripped through suburban Chicago, damaging more than 200 homes and injuring several people. Heavily populated Naperville was particularly hard hit, along with other Chicago suburbs like Woodridge, Burr Ridge and Darien.
It was a devastating reality check for a region that sometimes considers itself immune to tornadoes.
