Low-Wage Immigrant Women Call Out Workplace Sexual Harassment

While survivors of sexual harassment, like celebrities, corporate executives, elected officials, and other elites, now drive news headlines, low-wage workers — especially immigrants and women of color — have always been on the front lines, speaking out and organizing for change.

“Rocio” is an immigrant worker. She’s a survivor of workplace sexual harassment and abuse. She shares her story and talks about the plight of women like herself. She’s part of a campaign by advocacy organization Arise Chicago called “Out of the Shadows: Immigrant Workers Speak Out Against Sexual Harassment."

Joining “Rocio” and interpreting her remarks is Shelly Ruzick, communications and operations director for Arise Chicago.
