StoryCorps Chicago: ‘Thank You For Placing My Well-Being Over Your Own’

It’s a common question we ask our mothers: “Tell me about when I was born?” For Meighen Lovelace, the answer has additional meaning because she was put up for adoption as an infant. Last year at StoryCorps in Chicago, she sat down with her biological mother, Chris Huston. Chris talked about her pregnancy, the home for unwed mothers and Meighen’s first week of life.

This interview was facilitated by StoryCorps Chicago’s Mary Bess Ser.
