Witnesses presented conflicting testimony on Tuesday about the identity of the alleged victim in the R. Kelly child pornography trial.

One of the witnesses was Kelly’s former personal assistant. Lindsey Perryman said she met the alleged victim at a studio where Kelly often recorded supposedly after the sex video with Kelly was made.

Perryman didn’t view the tape until this year when prosecutors contacted her. Perryman says she’s 110 percent sure it’s Kelly and the girl. But she seemed pained during her testimony. She said she thought highly of Kelly and his family. I didn’t want to think it was them, she said.

Confirmation of Kelly and the young girl have been consistent testimony from prosecutor witnesses.

But the alleged victim’s cousin testified that such a video was not in her character. Bennie Edwards Jr. said he was not 100 percent sure that it was his cousin or Kelly in the video. He often grinned during his testimony.
