Most tourists who travel to the South of France hits the beaches of the French Riviera, stop in picturesque Provencal towns like Arles and Avignon, and make pit stops in the cities of Nice and Marseille on the Mediterranean. Few head to Gascony, the region that abuts the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Pyrenees to the south, a region known for its many culinary delights based around duck.
