Filmmaker Cristian Mungiu On Romanian Cinema


Romanian filmmaker, writer and producer Cristian Mungiu won the 2016 Cannes Best Director award for his new film Graduation (Baccalaureate). 

The movie explores how a father deals with his daughter’s future after she is attacked just before her graduation. 

WBEZ film contributor Milos Stehlik of Facets Multimedia talks with Mungiu about his latest work and the artistry of Romanian cinema.
