Weekend Passport: China’s Flagship Orchestra Performs In Chicago

China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra is playing in Chicago this weekend. Pipa virtuoso Wu Man will collaborate with the orchestra to present the beauty of traditional Chinese music. Their performance takes place at Chicago Symphony Center as part of the orchestra’s U.S. tour. 

Lü Jia, music director and chief conductor of China NCPA Orchestra, joined Worldview to share more about their music and the orchestra’s tour. Global citizen, Nari Safavi, will also clue us in to more global events to check out this weekend.
