Baseball in the Windy City is — for the most part — a tribal affair. You’re born into either a Cubs family or a Sox family, with occasional defectors who go against the grain.

A much more uncommon situation is someone who writes about one team, and actually works for the other. Cat Garcia is that rare bird. She writes a column about the White Sox for WLS-AM’s website, and works event management for the Cubs. Morning Shift talks to Garcia about her dual loyalties and how she sees both teams one month into the season.
