Three years after the release of the NYTimes bestseller, Wow, No Thank You, bestselling author, celebrated comedian, and famed blogger Samantha Irby joins the WBEZ stage to present a new collection of essays in Quietly Hostile.

Coming May 18 to the Mundelein Auditorium, Irby will reveal all that is behind Hollywood’s mirage of glitz and glamour – from her experience in the writers’ room of the Sex and the City reboot to flop sweats on the red carpet. Joining Irby in conversation will be host of WBEZ’s Nerdette podcast, Greta Johnsen.

Copies of Quietly Hostile will be available for pre-order through Women & Children First and at the event, followed by a book signing.
