Kansas Couple Makes Sure Chicago Teens See Art For Free

Starting January 2, Chicago teens will be able to visit the Art Institute of Chicago for free. That’s thanks to philanthropic Kansas couple Glenn and Claire Swogger.

The couple’s ties to Chicago are deep: He’s a University of Chicago alum and she’s an artist. Through their art and education foundation gift, a museum spokeswoman says Chicago teens aged 14 to 17 will have free access for at least the next 25 yeas.
