WBEZ looks to defend its 2017 crown for Chicago’s Bike To Work Challenge. The 2018 fun happens June 15-29. Every year, Chicago-area organizations and businesses sign up and compete. They track their bike miles and trips to win prizes, bragging rights, and help our ecosystem. It’s a Worldview tradition to kick off the Challenge by “talking smack” to our fellow not-for-profits, exploring the importance of biking to sustainability, and giving WBEZ staff a chance to get their bikes repaired!

Over the hour, we’ll get visits from numerous Bike To Work organizers, featuring Dave Gorman, a former Peace Corp volunteer in Lesotho.

Through his collaborative partnership, “Bikes for Lesotho”, he’s made biking a
cultural “thing” in a country, where previously, it didn’t really exist.
