Critics accuse online retailer Amazon of not offering same day delivery in largely African-American areas. Amazon says many factors contribute to whether customers can get same day service, such as how close you are to a distribution center.

While same day delivery is not available on Chicago’s South Side, it IS available to customers who live in Oak Lawn. Oak Lawn is a mostly white village. It is farther away from Amazon’s closest distribution center than neighborhoods on Chicago’s south side.
