Each week global citizen Nari Safavi helps listeners plan their international weekend. This week he’s joined by artist Jennifer Hereth.

Her exhibition, Refugees, opens Saturday at the Burning Bush Gallery in Wheaton. Proceeds from the sale of her art will go to Syrian refugee families who’ve been resettled in Illinois.

Hereth says she hopes her art will get people to think about how we think about and how we treat refugees. She joins us to talk about the inspiration for her work.
