Chicago Cubs fans across the country are feeling pretty confident this year — but maybe none more than Noel Brown.

Days before the Cubs first playoff game, the 45-year-old Des Moines, Iowa, resident got a tattoo on his left calf that predicts a World Series victory this season.

“Holy Cow!! Curse Broken. World Series Champions 2016,” the tattoo reads.

Brown said he received nasty comments from fellow Cubs fans who were concerned he has jinxed the team famous for being cursed.

But Brown isn’t buying it.

“With all the variable factors that come into play, I can’t believe that because a guy five hours from Chicago got a tattoo from a radio contest that altered the fate of a baseball club’s ability to win the World Series,” Brown said.

Still, Brown isn’t 100 percent committed: The “2016” part of the tattoo was designed in a way that makes it possible for the artist to change the numbers if this doesn’t turn out to be the Cubs’ year.
