Chicago's historic Maxwell Street Market has long been fueled by immigrants — most recently, those from Mexico and Latin America. Chicago officials went out to celebrate the market’s immigrant culture last weekend. Worldview’s food, health and culture contributor decided to do the same, along with Chef Rick Bayless, who heads several Chicago restaurants, including Frontera, Topolopompo and Xoco. On this edition of Food Mondays, Bayless talks to Monica about Mexican produce and his love for the market’s prepared foods.
