One of the last big musical festivals of the Chicago summer season is fast approaching: the World Music Festival Chicago 2016.

Now in its 18th year - this free festival brings global sounds to various sites around Chicago over 17 days. This year’s lineup includes music from Nigeria, Inner Mongolia, Italy, Israel, Chile and more. 

On this week’s Global Notes, Morning Shift and Radio M host, Tony Sarabia, profiles some of the artists and acts scheduled to appear.
